My Art Journal

Vorige maand in Zeist dit mooie Art Journal boek gekocht van Dylusions.
En mijn eerste werk er in gemaakt. Voordeel van niet regelmatig kunnen internetten is dat er meer tijd is om lekker bezig te zijn met verf, inkt, potlood en pen. Ook weer vele lagen over elkaar, stencils gebruikt en er weer overheen met verf en gesso. De lady is een zelfgesneden stencil en de boompjes getekend. De vogeltjes zijn freebees van Zorana. Voor de rest gewoon pure ingeving en fantastie. Alvast heel fijn Pinksterweekend toegewenst.


Last month in Zeist I bought this beautiful Art Journal book Dylusions.
And my first job in made​​. Advantage of not regularly use the internet is that there is more time to be with paint, ink, pencil and pen. Again many layers over each other, stencils used and worked over again with paint and gesso. The lady is a self-cut stencil and trees drawn. The birds are freebees of Zorana. For the rest just pure inspiration and fantastical. I wish you already a very nice Pentecostal weekend.

Echte Vrienden / True Friends / Anything Goes Challenge

Deze keer weer een paar nieuwe typetjes, twee dametjes. Ik heb er weer veel plezier aan beleefd deze dametjes te tekenen en heb ze weer vrij groot gemaakt, zodat ze op een groter schilderij passen of een Art Journal maar ook op kaarten te gebruiken zijn. Als je de kaarten wilt zien moet je ven op mijn andere site (stempelsite) klikken. Met dit journal doe ik mee met de Anything Goes Challenge - Make your own background.

This time some new characters, two ladies. I've had a lot of fun with these ladies to sign and have made them again quite large, so that they fit on a larger painting or an Art Journal but also on cards to use. Orange Lady / ECIU Challenge en The Cheerful Stamp Pad Challenge, AJC

Deze pages gemaakt met acrylverf, Dylusions inkt en gesso. Voor beide Challenges geldt de kleur oranje, dus ook deze kan daarmee mee doen. De orange lady is een zelfgegutste stempel. Dit keer extra groot om hem ook in een Art Journal en op doek te kunnen gebruiken. Ik heb er twee gemaakt maar de andere staat (met deze) op een paar kaarten op mijn stempelblog. Dit keer ook gewoon weer pure fantasie. Met zwarte pen wat lijnen geaccentueerd en met de witte gelpen de stipjes gemaakt.

These pages created with acrylic, gesso and Dylusions ink. Challenges for both is the color orange, so this one can so do with it. The orange lady is a homemade carved stamp. This time oversized so I can use him in an Art Journal and canvas. I made ​​two but the other is (with this one) on a few cards on my stamping blog. This time again simply pure fantasy. With black pen some lines accented and with the white gel pen dots made​​.

Uilengrot - Owls Cave / ARTSpecially Friends Challenge

Deze pages heb ik maar deUilengrot genoemd. Met deze Art Journal pages doe ik mee met de ARTSpecially Friends Challenge. De achtergrond was zo grillig en mooi, leek net een grot.

Dit wat geaccentueerd met witte gelpen, zodat er meer diepte in  kwam. 

De achtergrond gemaakt met acrylverf, gesso en Dylusions inkt. Ik wilde er niet teveel op maken omdat de achtergrond op zich al zo mooi is (vind ik tenminste). 
Dus werden het twee uilen (de grote is van internet en de vliegende een stempel van Stampinback).Deze gestempeld, uitgeknipt en ingekleurd, passend bij het geheel       .



These pages I have called the Owls Cave. With this Art Journal pages  I join the ArtSpecially Friends Challenge. The background was so whimsical and beautiful, looked like a cave.
This accented with white gel pen, so there was more depth.
The background created with acrylic, gesso and ink Dylusions. I did not make too much on it because the background itself is beautiful (I think at least)    It become two owls (the great from the Internet and the flying of a stamp of Stampinback). These stamped, cut out and colored to match the whole.   .

So Beautiful / AJJ -Summer

Eerst achtergrond gemaakt met Dylusions inkt en daarna getekend en verder ingekleurd.
Met de zwarte en witte pen lijnen geaccentueerd en doodles gemaakt.
Vond dit heerlijk om te maken en het geheel is een sereen plaatje geworden denk ik.

Trots .. - Proud .. / Color of Summer wk 6

Helaas al weer de laatste week van Color of Summer. Ik ben er trots op mee gedaan te hebben met deze prachtige Challenges. Dat is ook de tekst van mijn page geworden. Ook is er te zien (vind ik) dat het het einde is. De Lady (Kanban) loopt weg en de pauw (Elusive Images) er achteraan.
Heb eerst Dylusions gespoten in drie kleuren rood, roze en oranje, als achtergrond. Daarop de veren van CTW getamponeerd met witte acrylverf. De veertjes er op geschilderd met zwarte inkt eveneens de Lady en de pauw. Deze met pen bewerkt en geaccentueerd. Nog wat doodles onderin en bovenaan getekend.
De show is over, helaas.

Unfortunately again the last week of Color of Summer. I am proud to have done with this magnificent Challenges. This is the text of my page has become. Also there to see (I think) that it is the end. The Lady (Kanban) walks away and the peacock (Elusive Images) followed.
Did Dylusions first painted in three colors red, pink and orange background. Then the feathers of CTW tamponed with white acrylic paint. The feathers painted on with black ink also the Lady and the peacock. This with the pen worked and highlighted. Some doodles drawn at the bottom and top.
The show is over, unfortunately.

Sprookje / Fairytale / Summer of Color wk 5 / TaW - Blue

oliepastel krijt / oil pastel crayon

Met deze tekening en pagina's doe ik mee met de Summer of Color - week 5 en Take a Word - Blue.
Ik heb hiermee tevens mijn oude liefde oliepastel krijt weer eens opgepakt.
Na het kleuren de tekening ingespoten met haarlak omdat het krijt anders blijft afgeven.
Heb er geen tekst op gezet, want dat vond ik het tafereel verstoren.
Maar  heb het de titel "sprookje" gegeven .


With this drawing and pages I participate in the Summer of Color - Week 5 and Take a Word - Blue.
 I have picked up my old love oil pastel chalk again.
After coloring the drawing injected with hairspray because the chalk continues to give off.
Do not put text on, because I found this disturbing the scene.
But have given it the title "Fairytale".

Believe, Laugh and Dream / AJJ

Het heeft even geduurd voordat deze pages tevoorschijn kwamen. Eerst was de achtergrond veel te donker,  maar goed gewoon er weer overheen geschilderd en uiteindelijk ontstond de achtergrond die ik wilde hebben. Geschilderd met acrylverf. Ik heb wel de bloemencirkels gehandhaafd die ik op de vorige achtergrond gemaakt had. Ze zijn met een oude metalen embossingmal die ik nog had liggen, gemaakt. Gesso er overheen gesmeerd en daardoor reliëf gemaakt, op de kleine fotootjes wat beter te zien.
De witte cirkels met een stencil en met witte verf getamponeerd. Het vrouwfiguur met Golden Gel medium getransfered. De stokrozen er op geschilderd. De teksten (Dylusions) gestempeld.
Vind het zelf een rustgevende uitstraling hebben en is er toch iets ontstaan waar ik eerst niet tevreden over was.


It took a while before these pages emerged. Initially, the background was much too dark, but well just painted over again and eventually created the background that I wanted. Painted with acrylics. I have the flower circles maintained that I had made in the previous background. They are made with an old metal embossingfolder that I had lying around. Gesso over it lubricated and therefore embossed on the small pictures to see a little better.
The white circles with a stencil and white paint temponed. The female figure with Golden Gel medium transfered. The hollyhocks painted on them. The texts (Dylusions) stamped.
Find myself a soothing aura and something should occur first  where I was not satisfied.

Wonderful nature / Summer of Color wk 4

Heel andere pagina's en voor mij een uitdaging om te maken. Ik vind de giraf zo leuk en wilde deze dan ook gebruiken in de kleuren van week 4 van de Summer of Color Challenge.
De zacht rose kleur komt op de foto paarser over dan hij in het echt is. Links nog vlekken geschilderd van de giraf maar deze zijn op de foto niet zo goed zichtbaar.
Gewerkt met Dylusions inkt, Distress inkt, acrylverf, stencils, stempels en pen.


Totally different pages and a challenge for me to make. I do like the giraffe so much and wanted to use him, also use the colors from week 4 of the Summer of Color Challenge.
The soft pink color is more purple on the picture than it really is. Left is the giraffe spots painted on the picture but these are not so obvious.
Worked with ink, acrylic paint, stencils, stamps and pen.

I'm Back / The summer of Color - Ice Cream

Bij deze pagina's ben ik begonnen met witte en zwarte gesso in cirkelvorm op te brengen. Daarna gedroogd met de heattool en doorverhit tot de gesso ging ploffen. Dat blijf ik leuk vinden omdat er dan zulke mooie effecten te voorschijn komen (zie onderste twee foto's).

Daarna geschilderd met acrylverf en verschillende stencils gebruikt om gesso op te brengen. Op de figuren en het vrouwenhoofd (zelf gemaakte stempels) met de brayer witte verf aangebracht en deze toen er op gestempeld. Nog wat kleine rondjes toegevoegd. De tekst zegt genoeg denk ik: ik ben weer terug.

Ik geloof dat ik aan het maken van deze journals een beetje verslaafd begin te raken. Het is een heerlijk medium om je even te laten gaan, maar vooral om je te ontspannen. (Zo werkt dat tenminste voor mij en ik kan mijn schilderen en tekenen er ook in kwijt.) 

Met dit journal neem ik deel aan de Summer of Color - Ice cream.

In these pages I started to bring on circular white and black gesso. Then dried with the heat tool and heat until the gesso went pop. That I still like it because there is such good effects to emerge (see bottom two pictures).

Then painted with acrylic paint and gesso on different stencils used to bring. On the figures and the woman's head (homemade stamps) with the brayer applied white paint and then stamped on. Some small circles added. The text says enough I think: I'm back.

I think I have to make these journals a bit early to get addicted. It is a wonderful medium for you just let go, especially  to relax. (How it works at least for me and I can leave my painting and drawing  also in it.)

Art Journal - Live to Learn / and a big surprise

Eindelijk weer even op mijn plekje kunnen kruipen en heerlijk me uitgeleefd op dit journaal met gesso, acrylverf, dylusions inkt, stempels en pen.
Gewoon maar zien wat er op papier komt. heerlijk om te doen, ik noem het dan ook gewoon lekker kliederen .


Finally I crowl at my lovely place and I indulged in this journal with gesso, acrylic paint, dylusions ink, stamps and pen. Just see what's on paper. Love to do, I call it simply delicious mess.

Gister kwam er een grote verrassing binnen uit Australië.
En dit zat er in.  Een kaart, boekenlegger en een speciaal voor mij gemaakt boekje van Julia van Verdigrisrose.  ulia nogmaals heel veel dank en ik ben er onwijs blij mee.

Yesterday came a big surprise inside from Australia. And this was in it. A card, bookmark and a booklet specially made ​​for me by Julia from Verdigrisrose. Julia again many thanks and I am thrilled with it. Do you see how it looks more,  just look at my stamping blog (see sidebar).

You and Me / Art Journal

Zoals ik al vermeldde op mijn stempelblog zit ik een poosje aan mijn stoel en krukken gekluisterd. Kaarten maken gaat nog niet maar tekenen en met waterverf spelen gaat prima in de stoel. Met tekenwerk, gesso, aquarelverf en pen heb ik deze Art Journal gemaakt. De varenbladeren met een stencil er op gemaakt.


So I mentioned on my stamping blog, by a knee injury I am shackled  to the chair and crutches for a while. Making cards is not possible, only drawing and play with watercolor will well in the chair. With  drawings, gesso, watercolor and pen I made this Art Journal. The fronds on a stencil made​​.
